HUGGY BEAR ...OH YEAHHH!!!!Right is there any of you who don't own this album already? For the few of you that don't, get it NOW this is the canine gonads, JUST BUY IT!'Nuff said!!! Ok that's probably too short and to the point but can there be anybody out there who hasn't heard at least one cd by the flag bearers of the British doom scene? This release may be a bit of an Earache cash in now that the band have moved on (though the band fully endorse the release and Lee Dorrian & Gaz Jennings have been promoting it) but this is such an essential purchase for any self-respecting doom....nay metal fan that it just doesn't matter. You can argue about track listings as much as you like, i'm sure we've all got tracks that we love that are missing but most of the truly great tracks are present & correct on the first disc of this double disc set.It kicks off with the glorious wonder that is 'Ride' and then follws immediately with the groovetastic classic that is 'Hopkins (Witchfinder General)', these are followed by slice after slice of solid gold doom including 'Midnight Mountain', 'Vampire Sun', 'Utopian Blaster' and many, many more. There is also a second disc in this top notch release which contains 3 unrelesed songs, live tracks, some rare demo's and unusual versions of their classic tracks.I feel there is no excuse for not owning this cd as it's just so joyously heavy and full of crushingly epicdoom that all metalheads should own a copy. And just like Spinal Taps amps this review goes up to ................11/10
