Three years ago I started familiarizing myself with the Finnish techno-metal band Turmion Kätilöt, back then the band had already released three full-length albums and an EP.

In this article I am not going to quote or analyze what other critics had to say about the band, but rather, I would like to write about my own experience with this band.
In the albums of 2004, 2006 and 2008 (Hoitovirhe, Pirun Nyrkki, USCH!) it was clear that those guys were experimenting and trying to form and create their own musical tone; that was obvious throughout 20 to 40 percent of their early work.
But later, to be exact in 2011, when they released (Perstechnique) they started to adopt an independent sound for the band, and I guess they have decided to maintain their unique tone and strengthen their presence in this ever changing world of techno-metal, so the answer to that came in 2013 with the birth of (Technodiktator).

Personally, I consider this to be the strongest album by Turmion Kätilöt to-date. It is simply a masterpiece and a joy to listen to.
Starting from the first track till the last one, it's altogether awesome and absolutely not boring at all; even when you see the title and the duration of the last track (To Be Continued Act I) it may comes to your mind that this track is going to set the whole thing to a failure, but after listening to this very track you discover that it is another masterpiece that gives a great ending for a great album.

Musically, this is the sound of Turmion Kätilöt using all those heavy distortions riffs, vocal pitch and drums alongside with the techno elements in the massive usage of keyboards and programming to create wonderful melodies and an outstanding atmosphere. Beats are also great and mix along with all other elements to form these 9 tracks.

The cover work however, is a little bit non-metal and does not tell the whole story, it may also leave a negative impression for a hardcore fan, leaving him unwilling to trust what's beneath the skin.

In general, a great job by Turmion Kätilöt that gave birth to a new legend of techno-metal in this world.
