Hi ! It would be great to begin this interview with a history of your
group ?
Seth: The idea of starting the band came to me in the summer of 6 June 1999
(A really successful date), in the north part of Holy land. Then I met Celestial
for the already chosen direction – atmospheric black metal, combined with
northern folklore melodies.
2002-2003 Winterhorde play many successful shows with local and foreign acts
as well. One of the shows was even recorded and self-released as a live recording.
Just 40 copies of “Live” as much limited edition were made and sold
out in one evening.
2003-2004 Winterhorde enter the studio and record the official demo “In
Traditions of Winter”.
In the beginning of 2004 Lex L.C.F replaces Volkh on guitars.
Please tell us about your new album’s conception. Tell us about the new
songs & its recording process.
Seth: The demo includes 4 songs. Three songs are from 2001-2002 and the second
one – The Earth is an Altar was written in 2003. The demo keeps the cold
of the real win
ter, arranged in atmospheric style. The most members of the band
came from Russian Federation and of course we know very well what real winter
is…The demo was recorded in very good studio of our friends, located in the north of the north ?. The recording took about two months, because we didn’t have a lot of our time, everybody was busy at the moment. I think our first recording was successful with a pretty good for demo sound.
How would you describe your music?
Seth: As I told you we play Atmospheric Black Metal
What did you inspire when you have written the lyrics and the music.
What Authors in particularly?
Seth: The breath of cold winter nature… And of course I can’t miss
the huge aggression. All the members in Winterhorde are the authors of our creation.
Other projects now?
Seth: No we 100% concentrated on Winterhorde.
You come from Israel. Isn\'t hard to play black metal into?
Seth: Really no. As you see we do play ?

I know that in Israel they are a good metal scene and particularly Raven
music. What do you think about the Israel scene and particularly the black metal
scene?Seth: Raven music is a small label. The scene here grows up, but not enough black metal bands, but we have some really good bands!
You have predicted some shows ?
Seth: It will be somewhere in autumn but it will be here, so if you wanna see
us come here or wait for someone will invite us to perform
What is your opinion about some bands of true black metal? I think
to Burzum, Emperor and Darkthrone...
Seth: These bands made a history and we will continue this history
And, to finish, could you explain to us, your vision about the “spirit
of metal” ?
Seth: I thing you are really great magazine, keeping yourself on top!
