Hi! It would be great to begin this interview with a history of your
group.
RotWailer: We formed this band with Herr Arschtein in Moscow 2002. The idea
was just to make something extreme. Pus Sypope liked the idea so he joined the
band. It took maybe 8 months until we had one rehearsal and went to the studio
to record the songs that became “For Those About To Rot”. Then it
took a few months to get it released.
Please tell us about your new album’s conception. Tell us about
the new songs & its recording process.
R.W: We just wanted to continue where we left with the ep. It was a bit harder
because now we had to do a full album, and to keep it interesting to the end
without loosing it’s intesity was probably the hardest part. We pretty
much wrote the songs and recorded them right after they were written, we did
like 3 at the time did 2 or 3 takes and picked the best one. We repeated the
process until it felt like now it’s ready. Then there was a break and
then we
Do you have a favourite track on the cd?
R.W: There are many but to name a few: Rotten Siege, The Final Extinction, The
Spoon & Reek Of Excrete.
What give you the idea to create a band for pay tribute to Carcass?
R.W: It kind of ended up like that. When we started to record “For Those
About To Rot” we just wanted to do grind, we didn’t really have
any idea of what it was going to sound like. When we were finished it had a
kind of Carcass wibe to it and that worked fine with us.
Outside of Carcass, which are your favorite bands?
R.W: Rotten Sound, Entombed, Napalm Death (just heard their new song, it sounds
awesome) and many more.
How and why did you choose this band name “To separate the flesh
from the bones”?
R.W: It’s more than just a band name, it’s almost a sentense. We
believe it represents our music very well.

R.W: Pus Sypope met Lee somewhere on a festival and asked him to come, when he came he said that Jeff is in Finland so he called him and there he was.
Can we hope a second album?
R.W: Sure, if everything goes according to plans (usually it doesn’t)
we will record the next one next summer.
Have you already book some shows?
R.W: We’ve had a few in Finland, but if get the opportunity to play elsewhere
and have the time for it we will.
And, to finish, could you explain to us, your vision about the “spirit
of metal”?
R.W: The poeple who understand it are usually nice and easy to get along with.
I think there is a global spirit of metal, it doesn’t matter where you
come from if you have it you are usually ok.
Thanks for your precious time, last words are yours.
R.W: It’s all about having a blast.
