1. Hi, thank you very much for this interview. Can you first introduce yourself to our french readers and tell them what kind of music you are playing ?
Well, right now Naumachia\'s current line-up is: Armand (guitars), Soyak (guitars), Got (bass), Koshen (keyboards), Rob (drums) and Yarpen (vocals). It is really hard to qualify the music genre we play in a few words. Our debut release oscillates between melodic (Swedish-like) death metal and some kind of melodic black metal. In general, "Wrathorn" has been compared to the Rotting Christ, Children of Bodom, etc. Nowadays, we started to work on new material which should be released in December 2005. It\'s gonna be thoroughly different music on this album, we used to play.

2. Your line-up has often been moving, has the recording of the album been difficult ?
Actually, I think that recording of the album wasn\'t so difficult. The whole band was well prepared to the session at studio and this is why the whole material has been accomplished in 8 days. We had all along the idea of the final effect, so we achieved it in fact.

3. Your first album « Wrathorn » is out this month in Europe and North America via the french label Adipocere rec., can you describe it ?
In general, Empire Records (represented by Mariusz Kmiolek) is our current label. They cooperate with french Adipocere rec. We hope this partnership will be fruitful and explicateing.

4. What does mean the title « Wrathorn » and what does your album tell us ?
The lyrical themes on "Wrathorn" express the need of fight, fight in spite of all. They also say that we have to adapt the world in the way we need, that we have to be the lords of ourselves and that we can never collapse. "No hope" means no recourse. There\'s no god. You ask for too much. And this is the whole concept: no helpful force comes from outside. All your

strenght comes from your interior. The choice is simple: or you\'re going to rest on your own and your own potential or you\'re gonna be a looser. "Be the master, not his tool". “Wrathorn" simply means the thorn of wrath

5. Are you totally satisfied with it, with its production by Wieslawski brothers or would you change something ?
It\'s obvious, that after some auditions of the album (with no excitement) every bandmember would like to rearrange some parts of the material. Even than, we are very glad for the cooperation with Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawski. We are going to accomplish the next album also at the "Hertz" studio. The atmosphere is really good, so are the sound-masters.

6. I like the pretty « funny » last track with the « Rocky III / Eye of the tiger » riffs, which track do you prefer and why ?
hehehe... I think we like none of the songs from "Wrathorn". Maybe because of that we have been playing and listening to them about 1000 times. In my opinion, the best track on this album is "Muertos". It really kicks ass at the gigs! We have added the fragment of the theme from Rocky 3 to the last song accidentally. Everyone liked that and it\'s remained.

7. Your next album is on its way, how will it be ? Are there already written songs and music ?
The face of our forthcoming album is gonna be totally different than the previous one\'s. It\'s gonna be some kind of experiment. The lyrical theme will be the continuation of our views, ideas, considerations. The music will be consisted of extremely progressive \'patents\', it will be brutal and morbid. Technical and monumental. Some ambient parts or even tracks are going to appear. But everything may change...

8. What do you think of the polish metal scene ?
Polish metal scene is dominated by the death/black metal bands that represent quite h

igh technical level. There are many talented, interesting people who can never feature their compositions to the more frequent auditoriums. Everything is caused by the Polish reality. There is no help from the national institutions, nor the institutions dealing with the culture development. In this case, we still do not appertain to Europe. We may say boldly that we belong to one of the strongest communities of metal-heads in Poland, to Empire Rec.

9. What are your touring plans this year ? France maybe ?
On the 12.03.05 we have a confirmed participation on the biggest metal festival in Eastern Europe - Metalmania. Then, we\'ve got some gigs in the rest of the country. We\'re also waiting for other propostions. ...France? It\'s really tempting proposition. Well, the question is: how are the French witches in fact hehe.

10. Personally, what is the place of the metal in your life and what are the others things you are interested in ?
The metal art is our priority - we live and breath it. We want still to improve and present it in the way we realize that. Moreover, we\'re interested in jazz music, women, sex, sports (gyms, football - go Real Madrid!), some of us are interested in psychology, painting, regional dance, sung poetry. Seriously! As you can see, we have a quite broad-minded interestings. And there\'s no time for foolery!

11. Do you have any wishes for the future ?
We admire the maximal musical progress, the opportunities of creating, composing, recording, live-performing and improving musically and spiritually, We want to pick up the gauntlet and always win with challenges. We\'d like to go through the life with dignity and pride with the instruments in our hands!
