I met azagatel with Luxcitanea, album that I really appreciate, when I got the new album "Sol" to play I was surprised by a profound change in the sound of the band, but not necessarily bad. In fact I think that azagatel finally found its true sound, something very original without losing the power of previous works and printing a dense warlike environment throughout the CD.
The opening music is the only one that runs away from the rest of the work, with a more romantic feeling than the rest, which is much more direct, aggressive and folkish songs. The sound is generally good, very well structured musics, beautiful passages of acoustic guitar, an original and original percussion and a powerful voice full of archaic feeling and warmongering. All lyrics are in Portuguese.
The whole environment of the "Sol" refers to the immemorial times and ancient glories of the Iberian peoples.
An excellent work of this veteran band that reinvented itself in a brilliant way, I hope they continue in this record and give us a long duration as soon as possible. All artwork are fantastic, a piece of art.
