An example of modern metalcore

"Fatalism" is the 3rd album from the Australian band "Polaris". It adds to the 2 other albums and 2 EPs the band has released. And what a slap in the face.
With the release of the single "Inhumain" on May 25, 2023, the band makes it clear that an album is on the way. A powerful track that kicks off with a bass that hints at what's to come. And what's coming? Polaris! A big scream, a big riff! Over the last few years, Polaris have proved time and again that they're capable of writing big, powerful riffs and hellish breaks. Followed by "Nightmare" and "Overflow", they confirm their ability to create exceptional riffs.
Sadly, the day after their show at the "Graspop - Metal meeting" festival, we learn of the death of genius guitarist "Ryan Siew", aged 26, on Monday June 19, 2023. It is therefore with great emotion that the album "Fatalism" is released on platforms and in physical on September 1, 2023.
Listening to the album, emotions vary, but Polaris always manages to slap even the quietest tracks in the face. Big riffs worthy of the biggest "modern metalcore" albums. Big guitars, big drums, clear vocals interspersed with "Jamie Hails" big scream and a strong bass are the recipe for this album's success.
If you like modern metalcore, big riffs, djent passages and, above all, if you're ready to take one in the face, this is the album for you.
