Classic Death Metal At Its Prime!

If you needed an example of the difference between classic death metal and modern day death metal (not counting deathcore though) then this would be the perfect example of classic death metal. Now don't get me wrong modern day death metal is good but not as amazing as classic death metal. Nocturnus's debute album The Key is almost everything you expect in a classic death metal album except with one exception a keyboard. Keyboard in Death Metal? Could you ever imagine that?

So how did Nocturnus do with this experiment? They brutally destroyed anything in their path. The Key is a great cd by an underated death metal band that deserves to be talked upon the ranks of Death,Deicide, and Cannibal Corpse. This cd is guarrenteed to satisfy any death metal fan. Now this whole cd is great but two songs that deffinetly stand out in a class of their own Lake of Fire and Destroying the Manger.

If you are not familiar with the band this is deffinetly the place to start. If you love classic death metal as much as I do then you must buy this and add it to your death metal collection. This is deffinetly a top 10 classic death metal album of all time. Rating 18/20.
