for some bands I can understand peoples confusion but for bands like Trivium or Bullet For My Valentine it is a very solid argument that they contain Thrash Influence. The three bands I mentioned are not very experimental and have practicaly stayed the same over their careers. I think that you are not being precise enough when you say Trivium has no Thrash Influence. How am I so precise when I say "Thrashy"? |

DOUBLE Negative ALERT! didn't and didn't |
| InfinityZero says : Oh, yeah, we should probably get off the Trivium topic. In fact, let's never compare Metalcore with thrash again, guys. It just wasted like, 4 pages of the thread. |
| InfinityZero says : I was referring to the percentages you made up and whatnot. also, I didn't say I didn't think Trivium has no thrash influences. I'm just saying, it doesn't matter either way. |
| Enigmatick says : It's clear you don't know shit about thrash, otherwise you wouldn't associate Trivium with thrash in any way. |
| miniradman says : I don't know shit about thrash. |
| InfinityZero says : Well, I wouldn't say they're gay, mostly because these types of metal bands are usually in a sort of manliness competition with each other. But those mallgoth haircuts don't help their image, that's for sure. Oh, but wait. I found a story about how the singer, during a live performance, took a piss on a girl in the audience. There was a lack of evidence in court and charges were dropped. As far as them being not metal, I don't think it matters wether or not the band has punk influences, or that they are among the 'mainstream' modern metal bands. I still think these guys are metal. Why do you think BMTH aren't metal? |
| Enigmatick says : yes they use harsh vocals, but those have never been some sort of Pass Go Free! card into the metal realm. |
