Miniradman, if you consider other people's opinions, then why do you say Enigmatick is "just plain wrong"? For God's sake, you're getting riled over how much another genre is prevalent in a band's music. And you don't have to be so assertive with the 'YOU'RE WRONG' point, because this is simply Enigmatick's opinion. If someone told me they thought Burzum was thrash inspired, I'd ask them to say why, but I wouldn't go genre-nazi on their asses.

Also, I wanna just say this: every band everyone on here right now exists because the Beatles revolutionized music. No bands sound like the Beatles anymore, but the Beatles inspired them by chain-reaction. No band on here has rock n roll in themes in their music, but the Beatles did their thing. I guess the same can be said (to some extent) for thrash metal. Leave it at that.

I actually think the Beatles were detrimental to the Evolution of music as we know it Why? well, consult this last.fm page. Says it better than I ever could. Good read, too.

But otherwise I more or less agree with you.

That was a figure of speech.

You see, you have not taken into consideration any of my opinions and attempted to challenge them with your arguments, you simply assumed that I was wrong from the start and re-stated your opinion over and over again without giving any particular reasons WHY this was how you thought or why I was wrong. Not only that, but your reading comprehension is fucking terrible and you don't really seem to understand the points that ANYbody is getting at.

Knowledge of a genre of music is not directly proportional to the amount of bands you have heard from said genre, but what you Absorbed from the music. Therefore this is pointless.

Since you seem to have such a VAST knowledge of the genre, tell me, who were some of the first bands to mix Hardcore aspects of music into metal? Which band(s) was/were responsible for the influx of deathcore bands in the 21st century? What are some of the key aspects of modern deathcore and metalcore?

The bands that were first to have mix Hardcore with metal were Earth Crisis, Integrity and Starkweather.

Althought The Red Chord is one of the earliest Deathcore bands there were 2 main bands that paved the way for Deathcore in the 21st century. These two bands were Animosity and All Shall Perish. Both of them releasing their debut albums in 2003.

Some of the key characteristics of Deathcore and Metalcore.

open low end musicals
heavily Distorted gutairs
bass droping
Screamed and Growled Vocals. (Metalcore also has some clean vocals)
melodic riffs (Metalcore)
both melodic and disorganised riffs (deathcore)
frequent tempo changes

Assuming we are talking about facts rather than opinion, where is it you're getting these facts and percentages about what bands have what influences?

Other people on the site and reviews are two things that are opinion based. The magazines you read are probably opinion based as well.

To be honest this is the first time I have heard people say that Trivium and B4MV were not thrash influenced in their music and I have been listening to these bands for quite a while. I have also gathered alot of peoples opinons. When a lot of the opinons say the same thing it is bound to be true. Now I have a couple of people here saying that it isn't thrash influenced.

these things shouldn't be based on opinon they should be based on fact.
