I might be seeing Goatwhore later this year. What was their set like? I'd say fuck yeah it'd be worth $25. That's fuck all in Aus, plus we get hardly any decent bands come to tas

I dunno if you liked their really early raw war metal stuff, but they don't touch any of that material live (at least they didn't when I Saw them). They played the 2 best songs off the new album (In Deathless Tradition and Collapse of Eternal worth) and some hits off a haunting Curse and Carving out the eyes of god. got to shake Hands with Ben Falgoust after their set and talked to their guitarist sammi before their show. really personable guys and they put on a great live show. i'd recommend going if you can.

Im gonna have to start listening to Goatwhore. I have Carving out the eyes of god. Impiety are also touring with Goatwhore, but sadly they wont be at this gig. A band called Ruins from Tas will also be supporting

damn... Impiety AND Goatwhore on the same tour? That's the kind of line-up that i'd Kill to see in Chicago.
Honestly, Goatwhore has some really great songs, and some really bland ones too. on one Hand, every album since A haunting Curse (I never could get into their early, really gritty albums) has at least 3 really awesome, catchy face-melting tracks (check out Forever Consumed Oblivion, Alchemy of The Black sun cult and Wear these Scars of Testimony) and the rest of the songs are below average at best if not, totally forgettable.

Battlecross, Aborted, Decrepit Birth, Cattle Decapitation (well, kinda, missed their whole set though) and Origin last night in Saint Louis was one of the best line ups i've Ever seen. Every band on that tour is awesome, even got to hang out and chat with the guitarists in Aborted. Eran is such an awesome dude, we talked with him and Michael for a good 20 minutes during Cattle Decapitation's set and got to smoke with them and the guitarist for Decrepit Birth who did an amazing cover of Crystal Mountain by Death (even though i'm not a huge fan of Death), the crowd was really energetic during that song, they even let Random guys in the audience scream the chorus for their vocalist.. definitely one of the coolest things i've Ever seen happen at a metal show. After 2 shows in 2 days, today is my recovery day, my neck and back are ruined.

Is the vocalist from Cattle Decapitation really energetic? From some of the live videos ive seen, he seems very energetic. Also, that would be awesome, hanging out with band members, especially some more "reguarded" ones like Decrepit Birth and Aborted.

sadly, I missed Cattle Decapitation's entire set, I got preoccupied with talking (and smoking) with the guitarists for Aborted... A perfect example why you should stay away from drugs0 .Everyone that Saw them said they put on a great live show, personally I never really got into their newer stuff, which is what prompted me to stay outside and socialize with people. Sven (aborted's vocalist) was pretty fuckin crazy too though, grabbing people's heads in the front stage and going ballistic during the solos, and Origin's new vocalist, Jason Keyser is the BEST frontman i've Ever seen live, definitely the most energetic live vocalist ever.
