okay... isn't this something they actually have proof of?

Yes.

Actually teleporting complete structured molecular bodies (in comparison to singular electrons) would disassociate them.

i.e.: Teleporting a human would have bad results.

right, the trick is to make the molecules reconnect exactly the same way as they were before the teleportation, correct?
Friday 23 September 2011 - 06:20:52
Exactly. Though that would be extremely difficult. Even if you got the frame to teleport correctly (i.e.: the skin), the internal factors could be compromised.

that's assuming that every piece of the person is transferred at the same exact time. if not then parts of organs, say the stomach, would Burst inside the remaining body, and could cause serious problems. also the Heart would be another big problem.... kinda sounds like some Brutal metal lyric subject lol.

I'm not sure if everything needs to be transfered at the same time, but it would bloody well need to be accurate.

I'm assuing that transfering individual cells would be hard to do (just imagine small human cells flying through the sky at high speed) so a teleporter would have to break them Down into smaller particles. What about if we were wearing fiberous clothing or had a diamond ring? it wouldn't be able to break those down. Also we share 99% of our genes with our closest living relative, if there is even the slightest mistake, we could some out a completely different person (handy for someone who has commited muder and is trying to change their DNA )

You wouldn't End up as a different person/character since changes in personality are very complex. If only small particles of DNA would gone missing or be moved to a wrong place, it would be simply Lethal

But isn't that what genetic engineers are doing? altering the genetic code to stop people from inheriting diseases or changing how they develop. I think people can walk out of a teleporter Two ways either: comming out all deformed and retarded or come out a SUPER HERO! (ok maybe thats a little Far fetched )

the transportation is not as precise as engineers do. Mistakes made by teleport would be Random and thus can make Random recombinations that would be often Lethal or effecting deformations

There is probably a 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% chance of developing a somekind of deformation. But... there could be a small chance that someone could develop more "positive" outcomes (like spiderman).
