Even if it's a low budget, it's Ibanez and those aren't bad guitars. My dream guitar is an Ibanez RGA 7 string or a BC Rich Warlock or Stealth. In Fact you don't need expensive stuff to make good metal. iron maiden has always played on those Stratocaster (Malmsteen too)

I agree with you, totally! Equipment is not that important as long as you practice and just feel it ! Unfortunately sometimes people get it wrong and think that they can not play well unless they have the best quitar and amp. For me skill will always be more important than gear. How long have you been playing guys?

I've been playing for a little year so Far (but been following the knwoledge etc around it for longer), but during holidays I practice very often and long

I think I said 3-4 years already.
I play more often when I'm learning a good song. Right now I've just about perfected For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica (including those odd soloey snippet/interludes in the song), and although I can play every part individually, there's a part where I'm having a bit of trouble trying to mesh a certain part.
But challenges are half the fun of learning guitar songs.

And alright, let's get back on topic, The Contortionist is some of the most overrated shit ever. Every single Deathcore fan is praising these guys for being so "progressive" or whatever, and even non Deathcore fans like these guys because apparently ripping off djent, techy-deathcore a la Veil Of Maya and shitty modern post-hardcore and post-rock clean melodies and throwing it all into a blender equals originality! These guys are a SLIGHTLY better version of Intronaut, and Intronaut's pretty much the Bottom of the barrel as Far as music goes. Stop liking these guys, they fucking suck. It's like they rearranged a rhinoceros, called it a giraffe and everybody believed them when really it's just an ugly dismembered rhinoceros.
