I wanted to quote someone but after I tried to edit my post it was unreadable with charachters and "none" everywhere. That's one of the reasons why I don't like the SoM forum. Anyway, here is my original post without any quote...:

From my perspective the first cons is actually a pros. And the forum is friendly, I don't understand why you have this impression. Of course if you go on it and says that Metalcore is the best sub-genre of metal ever.... I agree with your last point though (that's why I remembered SoM and decided to come back for awhile ).

I voted MA because it's better, smoother, faster, prettier, more mature and easier to navigate than any other metal site that has ever existed. In my humble opinion, of course.

Anyway, M-A has stopped working altogether now, it has something to do with the link. Because they still use the old link which automatically re-directs to the V2 site.

they posted on their main page that they're still tweaking some of the server bugs, so all these problems should be gone soon.

Its fixed now, but if you scroll Down the page there is like 10 hardware problems that they have had. So I wouldn't be surprised if it went Down again.

Sorry, voted MA cause I've been a member there for years.  SoM seems a bit more laid-back and chill though; I can be colloquial here whereas on MA I'd get shit or maybe even banned.
