The reason I was bitching about ads on SoM was because there are NoNe on M-A. NONE. it's supposed to be a comparison, and that's a pretty good one.

Well, both sites have their ups and downs. MA has more reviews, and they actually describe the albums sound pretty good, so you know whether you should try it (though, I never listen to reviews). But some can be annoying, when they Bitch about how a band doesn't sound like it used to, and there are just to many Negative reviews. And they can define a bands genre precisely, but they are to strict about what's metal, and what's not.
What I like about SoM is that they also accept Nu Metal and -Core bands, and the forum is great too. I don't know MAs forum, because I have only visited one thread, and it was full of people whining about why their band wasn't accepted.

@psycho_metal - I can tell you most are like what you said. Probably when you get a hundred people on in one area. You have to a little silly to think that everyone likes exactly the same music and exactly the same bands. Kinda like what you get on youtube
 
as for elitists, there aren't as many as what "outsiders" might think, but there aren't none. I tend to think that at times there are people looking to rouse or pull other people up for saying something they don't agree with (and they aren't poilite about it either).
 
Just say I went and the forums and said


first of all, I would get pulled up for saying br00tal
 
Then I would get shit for even mentioning Olie Sykes on the forums.
 
Now if I said that on here I would probably get pulled up for it but not get shit on here (not as much). Over there I would be kicked out in no time, and it would probably be by a moderator

I didn't give a description of the whole forum, and I'm not judging anything. I was talking about that special thread, I mentioned that because I found it kinda funny.
I know that not the whole forum is like that, because like said, I've only visited one thread.

Those threads are usually filled with whining 14-year-olds so it's actually one of the worst examples of the forums. Just your luck i guess.

Oh, and mini, if you actually were to try that, people would clearly be able to see you're trolling because they're not retarded. There's people who do that kind of thing on a regular basis there, it's not like they're not used to it.
