Haha wow I guess I am a hypocrite... I didn't even realize that haha. Well I'm sorry... I just type what I'm thinking, I don't stop and really think about it untill I actually read it.

How the fuck are they gay ? You're being just as bad as the people who say Deathcore is gay.

Go back to the, is Deathcore gay thread, and go to page 5 and you'll see in your own words

why would anyone classify a band, or even anything "gay"

Hypocrite.

And what exactly is wrong with Metallica and Guns n Roses ? - and I don't mean what they do nowadays.
I think both bands used to make great music, they have iconic songs, I still like them (not as much as before, though. It's strange how you loose enthusiasm when you've heard too much for too many years...) and I'm sure most people here used to listen to the bands.

As for the mainstream problem - if the bands are good, isn't it only fair to go mainstream? I mean stuff like Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Children Of Bodom, Pantera, Rammstein, Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir...
It doesn't mean that there aren't or won't be other bands better than those, but they are still better than people listening to the other crap out there. I'd really like more decent metal bands to be mainstream and more people to listen to it - but in the same time, I wouldn't like it to be a fashion...

Chill... I don't think anything is wrong with them. It's good music for some, I just prefer not to listen to them. My DAD is a huge Metalica fan, I jsut don't get as much enjoymet out of it.

I agree. There are some bands out there, who deserve their success

Judas Priest? Mainstream?  Not in Australia. I don't think that Black Metal lovers would Survive in Northen Australia. 0 The rest are pretty mainstream.

I honestly don't give 2 shits about how popular a band is or what genre, I only care about how they sound. If its good, Its good 0

I live in Canada, man. It's worse here, but that doesn't mean I can't find underground music. I love Black Metal and it's pretty much non-existent here, but that's what Iron Tyrant and Plastc Head are for.

The melodic/pagan BM scene in Canada's pretty big. Woods Of Ypres, Will of the Ancients, SIG:AR:TYR and what have you.
Also Profound Lore Records is situated in Canada.

Back to topic. I have never met a chick that diggs Brutal Death or Black Metal. Mainly Nu Metal, Deathcore, Metalcore, Post-Hardcore not so much Thrash but I have met some. But once again they only know the mainstream artists.

I guess so, but it barely gets any circulation. I can't find any band smaller than Immortal's newest albums where I live... yet bands like Pagan Hellfire and Hellacaust come from here.
