Luxtorpeda is quite a new band but that's already their third album. There are not many changes since their self-titled album but it is still fresh and powerful. Rap singer Hans changed a little bit his vocals. It is much more "rocky".
The CD starts by "Ostatni" ("The last one"). At the end of the song we hear something very strange for Luctorpeda. An acoustic beautiful ballad. Next four compositions are all in a similar style. Heavy Litza's riffs, rap vocals by Hans and very good drums work by Krzy?yk.
And then we arrive to "Mamba?aga". One of the best moments from this album. Very catchy chorus and guitars make it a "stadium song".
Next piece is "Pusta studnia" ("Empty well"). In my opinion the best thing on the album. Calm verses and very energetic choruses. The solo is also great.
"Samotna" and "Nieobecny nieznajomy" are kept in the same style. And here comes "J'eu les poids". It starts off with a drum intro and bass solo. Very strange but interesting composition. "Od mo?e do mo?e" is a metal piece. The riff is very heavy and full of energy. "Smo?a" is more a ballad but it doesn't mean that is all the time very calm. Last two songs are played quite strange by the guitarists. You can almost feel that it is electronic music but at the end you realize that it is HARD ROCK.
Let's hope that Luxtropeda will give us always this kind of albums. Musicians are full of new ideas and they want to realize them. Great, powerful album.
