Travesty Of Mankind was created by current Vocalist, Guitarist, Bassist, and Drummer, Zackery Glaeser (a.k.a Zack), in the summer of 2012 at the age of 14. Originally planning to be only the Bassist and Vocalist of the band, the search for a full group of musicians was difficult and unsuccessful in the small town of Riedsville (NC) he lived in. He claims, "Most people that played an instrument or had an interest in being in a band did not like the musical style I was seeking. Those who actually did have a similar interest in musical style never clicked with me. I couldn't work with the people I was meeting. It didn't feel natural. I wasn't happy." His solution to what was holding him back was to learn the rest of the instruments (Guitar and Drums) himself and become a one man band. "It just happened. I didn't plan for it to be this way, but I believe it was God's plan for me to create music this way." says Zack Glaeser.

In the Summer of 2013, Zack had introduced his foreign passion of the heavy music genre to his quoted "best friend" (and current Travesty Of Mankind member), Nicholas Atkins (a.k.a Nick), and the two friends connected with interest and passion for the creation of music. This quickly lead to Nicholas Atkins becoming Travesty Of Mankind's first and original Synth/Piano player. As of mid/late 2013, Travesty Of Mankind is a Two-Piece Deathcore band.
