Биография : Timeghoul

Gordon Blodgett was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and became fascinated with music at a very young age. He would go through his father's extensive record collection and stare endlessly at the Yessongs album artwork while being blown away by side 3 of the 3-disk set (Mood For A Day, Six Wives Of Henry VIII, and Roundabout) as well as wanting to run around looking like Gene Simmons and spitting blood - jus kiddin'. He joined the school band in 4th grade and played the french horn through his freshman year of high school when he traded in his brass for a bass guitar and combo amp in order to play with his friends in a garage band that wanted to be the next Metallica. Eventually he bought a six-string guitar and began writing songs in the vein of death metal, a new music scene in the early nineties that he had become obsessed with. The writing and practicing of these songs and their rigorous riffs gave him the ability and confidence to try out for a local band that he had seen open up for Obituary when they came through town. The band was Timeghoul and they were looking for a guitarist to assist them in their pursuit of Progressive symphonic death metal. The tryout went well and he was in the band as they prepared the songs they would be recording in the studio later that year for the demo "Panoramic Twilight". After that the band slowly dissolved and Gordon jumped to a new band called Godsin (loosely a cross between Alice In Chains and Tool) as the bassist. Although no serious recordings were made, the band played live gigs extensively during his two-year tenure. Since his departure from Godsin Gordon has shifted his focus to writing and recording, in more of a progressive metal style. He has worked with various musicians and recorded countless songs with these different projects over the past few years. His solo work and main musical priority is Aegea - progressive instrumental metal, and Synergy - a collection of crazy, catchy vocal songs and sketches. He continues to write new music for these projects and plans on putting out new material for Aegea and Synergy as quickly and often as possible.
