The Spektrum arose in October 2005 in Leiria, Portugal by the hands of the brothers Zouza - Bass, Engraved - Guitars and Dyrion - Vocals, to them would join Joseph - Guitars/Keyboards and Doubtful - Drums.

Late in July 2006 the band felt that it was time to record a “demo”. They entered the studio at Saint Studios and recorded “Marching Through The Darkness”. “Marching Through The Darkness” was released in October 2006.
The Spektrum started playing around the country receiving positive feedback about theyr live performance and stage costumes.
In the summer of 2007, the band started pre-producing the debut album, “Daemonicus Awakening” in their own studio, and started later recording their debut album at the Medusa Lab Studios with producer Dikk (Witchbreed) and Ares (Witchbreed), the album was mastered by Waldemar Sorychta.
Beggining 2009 the band signed a two years record deal with metal label NoiseHead Records from Austria for the release of "Daemonicus Awakening" and starts the live promotion of the album around Portugal and Spain.
In the Summer of 2010, after the live promotion of the album "Daemonicus Awakening", Doubtful and Joseph quites the band.
The brothers Zouza and Engraved start composing the second album, "Regret of The Gods". This time, the band travels to Sweden to work with the producer Magnus "Devo" Andersson (Marduk).

After the sucessfull partership for the first album with the label, The Spektrum signs a new record deal with NoiseHead Records for another two years and the album "Regret Of The Gods" is released in April 2011.

Without live members to promote the album the band and starts composing the 3rd album.

The band would only return in September 2012 to the stages with the new formation to support Dalriada, and some others shows in Portugal.
