Биография : The Kill

Biography :

The Kill was born from the ashes of Open Wound in the summer of a new millennium. With Roby on guitar and Jay on drums together they discovered the Geelong Red Neck, Neil. Former Undinism vocalist now screaming abuse once again to take part in an outright onslaught Grindcore assault.

After grinding for a year, we recorded 11 tracks for a demo, which was released by Dave/No Escape Records. This cassette was limited to 100 copies. We then used the same tracks on 2 seperate split EP's. The first 7 tracks taken from the demo were released by Andy/Mortville records, on a split 7" EP with Retaliation (Sweden), 700 copies pressed. The last 4 tracks taken from the demo were released by Daniel/Dry Retch records, on a 4-way split 7" ep with Dahmer (Canada), Needful Things (Czech) and Lucifer Larynx (USA), 1000 copies pressed.

Approximately one month later The Kill died, due to Jay leaving the band. Eleven months later he than decided to reunite the blast unit and continue to thrash with The Kill once again. After playing many shows throughout Australia with local, interstate and overseas bands, we recorded 14 more tracks at a friends place, "paying" him with a slab of beer.

The Kill then parted with Neil. After a few weeks rest we than introduced Tony from Blood Duster to the band. We had many jams & were ready to complete the recording.
But! Once again, The Kill died out! Same reasons etc, etc... Left with 14 tracks recorded for the MCD "The Soundtrack To Your Violence" on No Escape Records, we eventually recorded the vocals and the MCD was finally released! … 12 tracks from the MCD were split and shared for two seperate split 7" EP's with Birdflesh (Sweden) on Regurgitated Semen Records & Regurgiate (Sweden) on Bad People Records, but this split didn't end up seeing the light of day.

Mid-2006 The Kill reformed to grind again ! Roby and Jay (now also in Fuck...I'm Dead) jammed and made lots of new songs, tried out a few different vocalists, and then eventually got Nik (also in Super Fun Happy Slide) on vocals in June 2007. There will be some live shows in the future, but plans are mostly geared towards recording, including a full-length LP/CD, a four-way split with Aussie and international bands and probably some other stuff... consider that a threat...
