Suspect Terror formed in late November 2007 with vocalist Derek Paul Wilson, drummer Benjamin George "B.G." Watson, guitarist Chris Bradford and bassist Eric Talamo. The band took thier name from a poll after writing down names on a sheet of paper which each member had. Guitarist Chris Bradford would state that the name chosen would come from a ‘Name Generator’ website he had previously used. In October 2008 Suspect Terror would add guitarist Anthony Michael "Mike" Martinez formerly of another local Mobile, Alabama band named 'Omit the Silence' completing the original lineup. This lineup would write and record the band's first 4 song EP release entitled "You Came to Party, We Came to Kill". Recorded at Forsythe Studios in Pensacola, Florida with engineer Richard Dunlavy. The album would have the song "Mess with the Bull, You Get the Horns" featured in a national compilation album produced by Hot Press Records.
By January 2009 Suspect Terror would go under major changes when original founding members guitarist Chris Bradford & bassist Eric Talamo would leave the band. Suspect Terror would replace them with guitarist Cameron Cazalas and bassist Tony Arnold which would become the bands most iconic lineup to date. Bassist Tony Arnold would become the the most influential member of the band as he would introduce the bands usage of Samples into Suspect Terror's signature sound. In March of 2009 the band would once again go back into the studio with engineer Richard Dunlavy at Forsythe Studios in Pensacola, Florida with the follow up to 2008's "You Came to Kill, We Came to Party" EP. This would be the most widely received album by Suspect Terror’s fans to date. Written by the band, the "Untitled" EP would comprise of two songs "Exalt the Deciever", "I Come to Destroy Those Who Come to Kill" and instrumental "The Death of Chippy". This would also be the bands most active year for live shows. Playing an estimated 50 shows along with the bands first tour with Death of Skepsis and The Bob Barker Treatment. But in October 2009 Suspect Terror would see a critical change in the band when founding member and drummer Benjamin George "B.G." Watson would exit the band. Followed by guitarist Anthony Michael "Mike" Martinez & bassist Tony Arnold would also disband from Suspect Terror; Leaving vocalist Derek Paul Wilson as the lone original member and guitarist Cameron Cazalas as the only remaining members.
By January 2010 Suspect Terror had reformed with new members guitarist William Russell Wheeler, drummer David "Crash" Fenner & bassist Dyllan Gafford. This would be Suspect Terror's most challenging year as fan interest and social media interest would drop significantly. With the departures of the former members inhibiting the bands ability to win over crowds in turn causing turmoil for Suspect Terror itself on and off stage. The band would attempt to record and release a new album in April 2010 but creative differences between the writing team of vocalist Derek Paul Wilson and Cameron Cazalas, Suspect Terror would only amas “Untitled Interlude” and “Untitled Song”. The band agreed to not release the songs as they felt they weren’t good enough and may damage the band’s brand even further. Through this time Suspect Terror would see bigger shows and even reaching into regional markets but the product wasn’t connecting with audiences. By May 2010 the band had changed once again. This time losing members drummer David "Crash" Fenner and guitarist William Russell Wheeler and long time member, guitarist Cameron Cazalas.
In June 2010 Suspect Terror would begin writing their 3rd EP with the writing team consisting of vocalist Derek Paul Wilson and former bassist turned drummer Dyllan Gafford. While writing the 3rd album, Suspect Terror would bring on members guitarist Adam Hensley, and bassist Michael Pozobyt. The band would also sign to a small distribution label 'Viking Records' out of Atlanta, Georgia. They would also acquire recording time at Lambesis Studios with lauded engineer Daniel Castleman and representation for artist management with Ryan Hetowski. Suspect Terror would record their 3rd album entitled "Eugenics" with Daniel Castleman at Lambesis Studios in San Diego, California and in Los Angeles, California between December 2010 - February 2011. Also in 2011 the band contracted a tour with Catalepsy (Eulogy Records) as a supporting band for Catalepsy’s ‘Bleed’ album release tour. Afterwards the band would finish recording their "Eugenics" EP with Daniel Castleman. The album was released digital only and on their social media platforms. Suspect Terror continued to play shows locally and regionally until February 2012 with the last show being an opening slot for King Conquer (Mediaskare) at the Handlebar in Pensacola, Florida. Vocalist and Founding Member Derek Paul Wilson would disband Suspect Terror taking the band into hiatus.
