Soulers was formed in 2016 when Dai Maō (just 17 at the time) recorded several unreleased demos. The first album to be released to the public was Beautiful Like a Rainbow on August 11, 2017. It was followed by two albums titled The Forest and Soulers in September of the same year. Time to Prey , which was released on October 30, was more satanic than the previous albums, and notably featured more sludgy elements. November 25's Trip - The Satanic Sounds of Soulers was the last album to be released in 2017 and followed the same themes as Time to Prey, but mixed stoner doom and sludge metal with vocals that sounded like pitch-shifted growls, which continued for some time.

To this day, many albums under the Soulers name keep following depending on how much it takes for Dai Maō to record and mix them.
