Formed in the summer of 1997 by metal goddess, Kimberly Goss (Ancient, Dimmu Borgir, Therion) and Jesper Strömblad (In Flames), Sinergy are noted for spewing forth a cogent mesh of passion and aggression. With the band's original line-up, which also included guitarist Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom), bassist Sharlee D'Angelo (Mercyful Fate, Witchery) and drummer Runny Milianowicz, they recorded their debut album, Beware The Heavens, which received solid reviews worldwide.

The album harkened back to the great ‘80s with female vocals that were both aggressive and emotional: no whining vocals, no so-called angel-like voices like we're used to hearing from nearly all gothic bands…just a real kick in the ass! Due to various reasons, Goss was forced to relocate to Finland (from Sweden), making it somewhat difficult to keep in proper contact with the three Swedish members. Due to the distance between them, combined with the commitments Runny, Jesper and Sharlee had with their other projects, a mutual agreement was made that it would be best for Goss and Laiho to recruit an entirely Finnish line-up.


Guitarist Roope Latvala (ex-Waltari), bassist Marco Hietala (Tarot) and drummer Tommi Lillman (TO/DIE/FOR) replaced the departed Swedes. With this line-up, completed in July 1999, the band recorded their second album, To Hell And Back. The album again received a fantastic reaction from the press. The strong press and fan reaction gave the band the chance for a brilliant tour. They played a sold-out European tour together with Finland's superstars Nightwish.


The chemistry among these five talented musicians has proven extraordinary, as is evident with the successful completion of their forthcoming album, entitled Suicide By My Side. Recorded at the famous Studio Fredman (HammerFall, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir etc.), this album brings Sinergy another step closer to the top of this genre. With duelling guitar solos, a powerful, in-your-face crunch and a whimsical though simultaneously menacing female vocals, Sinergy are a heavy metal dream come true. Starting with opener “I Spit on Your Grave,” you better beware of the power of this five-piece outfit. Followed by “The Sin Trade,” “Violated” and the headbanging tune “Me, Myself, My Enemy,” the album has more power and metal than 90% of all so-called “metal” releases. Check out the amazing title track, and you know that metal has got a big future. And so do Sinergy!
