Биография : Point Of Extinction

Point of Extinction better known as P.O.E. are a Milton Keynes based melodic thrash metal band. With thrash influenced roots P.O.E. create an original heavy sound that combines the best elements of all the music we love. We have been away from the scene for a bit after a line up change was forced upon us, hence the change of site, but are back now and hungry for action. We played mainly in london before at the Purple Turtle and in and around Camden itself, but we are hoping to spread our words and music further afield this time round. P.O.E. got a new line up and did 31 shows in 19 months and released 2 further e.p's . The Face The Day E.P, followed 7 months later with the 2009 Bloodstock e.p.

This was also avaliable from PlanetMosh.com as a free download. And had over 100 downloads. Sadly the drummer announced his departure as he got tired of playing drums and was getting very out of shape.
New members were aquired but the old crew left deciding not to go through the lengthy rebuilding process.

Al continued and did 1 show with the newbs butt they were quite inexperienced and the gig wasn't to the standards Al required.

The band was briefly disbanded until Al met with Freddie through a stage manager position he aquired at a local venue.

Al and Freddie jammed and P.O.E was reborn. They decided it was time to write fresh material and during these sessions Calvin Brown returned.

New songs were written and a couple of oldies were resurrected.

New vocalist and guitarist were added and in July 2012 the first P.O.3 was played to a great responce.

2nd guitarist is in training and the band is hoping to emerge on the live scene with a new demo in a few months.

A few shows were played with Freddie and a new e.p 'Hedonist' was released. Unfortunately personal issues saw the departure of Freddie and we had a new replacement who did a couple more shows but wasn't really right for the band.

Sadly Calvin chose to depart and was replaced by an original founding member of the band James Goldsworthy. A new drummer was also found and joined 1 week after James. Jon Millard the new drummer has settled well and the band are again working on some songs old and new.

Looking to gig early next year and hopefully have a new demo to reflect the new line up and hopefully kick off in 2014. There's really good vibe in the band at the moment so looking forward to 2014. Expecting a photoshoot late in 2013 of the newest line up.
