At the beginning of 2006 Mortukai started out as a studio project. Ivo wrote some songs and wanted to record them. Soon Thomas joined him as the second guitarist, now the idea of starting an actual band began forming. As the band grew into an actual band the sound began developing. The formation of the band changed allot over time as they we're still looking for the right members. The one thing that always kept the same we're Ivo and Thomas as the guitarists of the band. Now joined by Pierre (ex. Deathbox) and Brain (ex. Deliberate Jeopardization) they started working on some new material. With the joining of Jorrick (ex. Endemic) they completed there formation. Together they are working hard to get a great set together so that they can hit the stage at the beginning of 2009.
