Midnight Rites was created and brought together by the swedish guitarist Robert "Bobby" Tancred of Mordikaii.
Emi had been working with Bobby before on another project called Vigrid Plains wich was more into doom gothic style.
And Bobby asked Emi to record the vocals for that demo.
Because the lack of time from both musicians, it got stuck after writing a few tracks.
So that Project ended and was put down.

In 2015, Bobby talked to Emi about recording some vocals once again on some new tracks he had written recently, and in a few months,
the EP of a total 6 songs was finished.

After some good words and feedbacks from the friends and contacts, they decided to try contacting some labels for the edition,
and without expecting anything.
They got different offers for the release. Finaly, they signed up with the mexican label Sade Records.
The Ep was release 15th September 2015.
