Биография : Metallisk Esel Hives

Originally forming in Utsjoki, Finland in 2003, Metallisk Esel Hives were billed under the name Shrapnel Pill. The band played thrash metal that was highly influenced by Metallica. Shortly after their first Demo, the band parted due to creative differences.

Guitarist Vörg and bassist Goretal Carnallity linked up again soon after, along with drummer Gutburn and additional guitarist Sven Ortel. A heated difference formed between Ortel and Vörg, which ended violently and called for Ortel to be removed from the band, with Gutburn leaving soon after.

In late 2005, Vörg and G.C. relocated to Newcastle, Australia where they met up with French-Canadian born drummer Dàrvik, who soon created a quick bond with the Finnish pair. This led to the recording of their first EP which was released during the middle of December.

Deciding that he couldn't continue to crunch riffs on his own, Vörg acquired the services of local axe-swinger Fleshammer. This led to the writing of their first full-length album which was released in late December.
