MALEFICIO was started in 1990 by vocalist Dan Soxx
and drummer PTR. Taking their inspiration from a wide
range of metal acts, and blending all the different styles
to form their own trademark sound, the band eventually
settled on the name MALEFICIO, and its definitive lineup
came into being in 2008, when the four-piece
— guitarist Mike and bassist Goat having previously
joined the two founding members
— became a five-piece with the arrival of rhythm guitarist Tore.

MALEFICIO's debut album, "Under the Black Veil",
was released in 2005 on the Colombian label Hateworks Records.

MALEFICIO has signed with Apollon Records for the release
of its sophomore album "Go To Hell".
This album was released Tuesday 13 October 2009,
