Биография : Madog

In 1991 the brothers Hans (vocals, guitar) and Otto (bass) Zedrosser founded the band MADOG. After two rather quiet years they had their first successes, for instance gigs at the “Rock against Racism” in 1993 and at the “Rock am See” in 1994. But only a year later this first line-up fell apart because of musical differences. A two years’ break followed.
In 1997 Christian Koller (drums) approached Hans and Otto and together they resurrected MADOG and instantly started to make a set list consisting solely of their own songs. Their style was now firmly rooted in the Traditional Heavy Metal and Power Metal.
After many live gigs at bikers’ meetings and clubs the band decided they needed a bit more power in the string section. So, by the end of 1998, Alexander Humer joined MADOG on the second guitar. He soon integrated himself perfectly and the quartet became a close-knit little "family".
In 1999 the group toured through Germany playing in Balingen, Bamberg, Hamburg and Nürnberg and back at home they performed at a charity concert in Feldkirchen. Because of the enthusiastic reaction of their fans the release of the first MADOG-album was just a matter of time. Published in spring 2000, “Dreamland” got good reviews and sold very well.
In autumn 2001 the production of the second album started and in February 2002 “Fairytales Of Darkness” was released. Shortly afterwards MADOG signed a contract with Sound Riot. As a result the second CD got a complete make-over with a remastered sound, a new booklet and a bonus track.
Since then MADOG have been playing more gigs than can be listed here. To pick out just a few: "Rockmania" 2002, "Sauzipf III" 2002, "Rockmania" 2003, "Bang For Children" 2003, "Rockmania" 2004, "Metalcamp" 2004, "Legends Of Rock" 2005, "Metal Mania" 2005, "Metal For Fairness" 2006, "Rock The Lake" 2006, "Burden Of Truth" Tour 2007 (with CIRCLE II CIRCLE, SAVAGE CIRCUS, TOMORROW'S EVE, TEMPESTA), "Rock the Lake" 2007, " Hell over Vellach" 2008, "AustroRockFestival" 2008, "Hell over Vellach" 2009, "Rock the Lake" 2009 and so on and so forth ad infinitum!
In 2005 their cover version of "The Crawling Chaos" was recorded for the "Back in Time - A Tribute to RAGE" album.
