Linebacker is an hardcore band from Portugal. Formed in the winter of 2013, this Lisbon based outfit has the propose of bringing the fury back to the portuguese hardcore scene, creating an heavy, energetic and groovy hardcore sound, the kind that makes you want to dance, mosh and sing-along to the top of your lungs.

On the beginning of 2014, the band released their debut record, a self-released 5-track demo tape. As the demo cover suggests, the record contained many references to american football, while the tunes were highly influenced by the early 2000's boston's hardcore scene.

After playing a few gigs around the country, sharing the stage with acts such as H2O, Knuckledust, Ninebar, among others, the band has gone through some changes in the line-up during 2014 and 2015. With a new frontman, guitar player and drummer joining the band, which brought new influences and ideas to the band’s sound and message, they began recording their EP in the Summer of 2015.

This new record is entitled "Where Wolves Dare", contains 7 tracks and has just been released on a digital format through the band's bandcamp. "Bitter End" is the band's first music video, directed by Pedro Esperança.
