Laberinto was founded in 1989 in Caracas, Venezuela. As metal/hardcoreband they gained national popularity in a short time.

In 1991, in search of their musical identity, the band began experimenting with the musical roots of Latin America. Laberinto wanted to expand borders even more, and decided to seek new challenges in Europe, with Amsterdam as their base.

There they further developed their own style, which they called Metal Latino: a complex fusion of Afro Caribbean and Latin American rhythms with Metal, unique in the world.

They released a total of one EP and eight full length CDs and toured widely in Europe until the band slip up in 2011.
