Биография : Insane Prophecy

Formed back in 2008 by Ifty (Drums) and Parvez (Former vocalist), Insane Prophecy, with five members in the band played its first gig in the Assam Engineering College’s annual rock fest – Pyrokinesis ’08, and made it to the finals. At that time, it played stuffs from Napalm Death and their then original numbers – ‘War Cry’, ‘Resurrection’ and ‘Rape of Democracy’.

Unfortunately, after a couple of months, the band had to split ways to pursue higher education which resulted in the exit of its guitarist and bassist. After a hiatus of two months, the band reformed with Xulfi on bass, Bikash on guitars and Abhishek on keyboards. With this new line-up being heavily influenced by some Symphonic Black Metal acts like Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, etc, the band changed its genre to Symphonic Black Metal which also resulted in discarding all of their previous original numbers and started covering songs from the said genre.

Then there a time came when Parvez and Abhishek walked out from the band and with their exit, Insane Prophecy fluctuated from Symphonic Black Metal to Black Metal with Valefar joining in on vocals. On basis of its new sound, i.e, Black Metal, Insane Prophecy recorded its first single – ‘Blasphemy ov a Diabolic’.. Their sound clearly concentrates on stuffs from Norwegian Black Metal fused with other Death Metal sub-genres. They combine the sound perfectly with Black Metal elements full of blast-beats, scratching riffs with screams and Death metal growls and groovy guitar riffing alongwith some sturdy and melodic bass lines. With the new sound, the band also started following up more extreme metal bands such as Immortal, Behemoth, Belphegor etc. Ifty writes all the lyrics, drums and vocal patterns, whereas Xulfi and Bikash write their respective music.

Subsequently, Valefar quit the band, which led Insane Prophecy to be a three-piece outfit with Ifty & Xulfi doing Vocals along with Drums and Bass respectively & Bikash on Guitars which is presumed to be the permanent line-up of the band.
Having done some reputed concerts such as Resurrection IX Metal Fest and Unseen Underground under their belt, they recently showed up in the Wacken Metal Battle in Guwahati. Their song, ‘Blasphemy ov a Diabolic’ was recently featured in Episode 13 of the Flaming Skull Metalcast which also featured an interview with Galder (Guitarist) Dimmu Borgir. Insane Prophecy is now busy making more original stuffs for an upcoming E.P album which is going to be the debut album of the band.
