1994- Horresco Referens releases a first demo-tape: In Darkness I Grow... which is actually mainly focused on the work of death vocals. -1995- The quartet performs in several gigs across the country, plus concerts in Belgium and Portugal. Growing in experience, Horresco Referens headlines several festivals and opens for Disaffected, Sup, Gomorrah, Tortharry, Genocide, Decayed, Loudblast, Coroner... -1996- HORRESCO REFERENS releases a promo-tape (3 tracks, recorded and engineered in 24 hours) for radios, bands, zines, clubs in order to spread the word about their new style of music. -1997- During the winter, Horresco Referens records its concept-album The Cesspit.... This nine-track album is produced by Stéphane Buriez at the L.B. LAB of Roncq (France). The track In The Mists is also released on the Yvelive #5 -1998- The band completes its self-produced album, and performs several promotional concerts. -1999- The Cesspit is released. It is available in several music stores and CD mail-order worldwide catalogues: Holy records, Season of mist, Polymorph Records, Shiver Records(Belgium), Jackhammer Music(Japan), Majestic Union Records(Germany). -2000- Several line-up changes force the band to a hold, but they finish the year with a brand new crew: Pascal joins in on bass and Nicolas behind the drumkit. -2001- The line-up changes again during summer. David and Guillaume (from the black metal project Loci Inferni) join the band, as drummer and lead guitarist respectively. The band is complete and back to work. -2002- In the beginning of the year, a 4-track demo is realeased for a Metal convention. the recording of the album ...Of Our Souls. begins in August. Horresco Referens goes on a promotional tour with many bands, such as Notre-Dame. -2003- The band signs with label Anvil.corp and tour booker Rocksquad Inc.. The LP ...Of Our Souls is realeased by Wagram on April 14. Horresco Referens performs several times in Europe (Portugal, Spain, Belgium) with bands like Enthroned or Master
