Биография : God Ripper

Created in early 2010 by The Unholy Thrasher, a musician who was beginning to resent the modern day music of his world. Taking inspiration from BURZUM for the idea of a one-man operation, The Unholy Thrasher then, one day, wrote two songs. "Necro Grave Digger" and "Odyssey Through The Eternal Forest" as retaliation for the music that he feels has done nothing but consume. It was soon decided afterward that his band would be known as "God Ripper", symbolic for what the word "god" means to any person, and the destruction of false gods. In the following months since the writing of those two songs, The Unholy Thrasher began recording for an album. What better to make a statement with a message of where you come from and what you're here for? Oregonian Black Metal. The idea of choosing black metal as the style was based on the fact of that black metal itself is of a extremely rebellious nature. It seemed to be the only way to go, when the overall theme for The Unholy Thrasher's actions in God Ripper is to rebel, and more importantly make a statement.

Funding for God Ripper came when The Unholy Thrasher was involved in a very minor car accident. Though no one was severely hurt, beside some neck pains, the result gave The Unholy Thrasher enough funds to begin the recording process.
