GNOSTIC was formed in 1997, by Obliterater and Necrogouhl. After Obliterater parted ways with THORNSPAWN due to conflict of interest. And soon after Lord Vistigium and Inferno joined and our main goal to play Black Fucking War Metal... And to join with our destined paths of destruction... By late 1997 GNOSTIC recorded their 1st demo "Vistigium de Monasterion". And was immediately embraced by the U.S. unholy and through prevailing media zines, etc… Further gaining respect in support of local and Regional/National acts … ANGEL CORPSE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, MALEVOLENT CREATION, etc etc... In late 1998 GNOSTIC returned to the studio to record their 2nd effort entitled "Bloodwars of Heretic Supremacy" 5 tracks of Blood soaked anthems of diabolical obliteration ... Was unleashed to an unsuspecting underground scene which was hailed by the elite and to gained European support and recognition in early"1999 GNOSTIC records "Necrobliteration" 2 tracks promo to interested labels and in late 1999 GNOSTIC releases "Bloodwars of Heretic Supremacy + Necrobliteration" on Goat Prod. (R.I.P.) as a 7 tracks full length on CDR and is now sold-out... A follow-up EP was to follow but due to legal issues Goat Prod. closed down and "Necrodawn" wasn"t released... In 2000 GNOSTIC signed to Realms of Darkness for a 2001/2002 release the 1st was (Lead us into War and Final Glory) 4 Way Split-CD Realms of Darkness /Dark Horizons records. A full length release was to follow unfortunately realms went bankrupt and could not full fill their obligations... And GNOSTIC was without a deal once again. In late 2001 ORDEALIS Records signed GNOSTIC for a vinyl release of "Bloodwars of Heretic Supremacy" that includes 4 bonus tracks. And in 2002 ORDEALIS Records signed GNOSTIC for 2 full length releases and adds "Evoking The Demon" full length which is the most blasphemic documentation of GNOSTIC recordings...
