Биография : Ghouls

Massimiliano Franceschini started Ghouls back in 1996 with Fabrizio Franceschini on bass, Marco Meister on guitars and Andrea Cassina on drums.

Their self titled first demo, in 1996, included four tracks (Evil & Hate; Fear; Antichrist; Absolute Dominion). Few months after the recording session, Meister and Cassina left the band. In 1998, Massimiliano knew Antonio Poletti (former Novembre) and Emilio Trillò (from Carnal Rapture) and they talked about record a new demo. Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre's drummer) helped recording and realizing the new tracks (Ghouls; Rebaptized In Blasphemy; My Life For Your Death) which ended up in Rebaptized In Blasphemy.

Unfortunately as two years before with guitar and drum, bass player Fabrizio left the band after the recording session. During the sessions for this second demo, despite all, Antonio and Emilio joined seriously the band and even without a regular drummer, the news songs keep searching in new influences and styles. The result of those efforts was Promo 2000, recorded in Outer Sound Studios, with Giuseppe Orlando on drums; the new tracks (Divine Chosen; I'm The Living Swear; Eternal Damnation) were fast and technically challenging and attracted eyes and ears on it.

In 2001, Mauro Mercurio on drums and Mike Viti on bass (from Hour Of Penance) joined the band; but it was to play live that they craved and they did it with several bands such as Behemoth, Theatre Des Vampires, Infernal Poetry.

During 2002, Mike Viti left Ghouls but soon after they met Silvano Leone to replace him on bass. The band went in Subbass Studios to record their new demo Promo 2003, and even if between a lot of struggling and issues, there were three new tracks to cheer to (Marquise De Sade; Slut In Black; Phallic Soul).

2004 saw few live acts from Ghouls and many matters kept haunting the band till Maurio Mercurio left the guys but Alessio Brugiotti took his place, unfortunately it was prolly too late for them because they were all following different paths and Ghouls as a band was forced to stop its growth. Massimiliano and Antonio never stopped playing Ghoulswise and searching for that special sound which means Ghouls and after all this time they feel time is up for some fast and juicy death metal.

In 2008, Stefano Franceschini on bass (also in Amok Violent) and Claudio Testini on drums (alson in Ade) joined Ghouls. In the meantime, the band sign for the italian Despise The Sun Records to release the debut full-lenght, "ntil It Bleeds", produced by Giuseppe Orlando at the Outer Sound Studios and the recordings starts at the end of May.
