Born in the year 2000 in San Bernardino California, Contortion was givin birth by Brian Pennington and Nick Jackson. Lead singer Victor Viscio was a high school friend and previous bandmate of Brian and Nick, and reunited with the boys in early 2007. After going through a number of bass players, Zoot McFee joined the band in 2007, ending the search for a truly dedicated and talented member to fulfill the task.

The four members of Contortion are as follows:

Brian "Stone" Pennington : Guitar / Vocals
Zoot McFee : Bass
Nick Jackson : Drums

The band started as, and remains, a heavy metal/thrash act, compared by friends and fans to the likes of Slayer, Sepultura, Between The Buried And Me, Lamb Of God and Machine Head, to name a few.

Contortion has been nominated in the Coachella Valley Music Award for "Best out of town band" and "Best heavy metal band". Another accomplishment of the band was placing 9th of 700 bands trying out for the popular MTV show "Battle for Ozzfest". The band has recieved regular air play on KCAL 96.7FM and continues to have air play on KCXX 103.9FM through DJ Dirty D. The band has also been reviewed in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, as well as in Skinnie Magazine and Fast Times Magazine.

Contortion has played sold out shows at the Whiskey A-Go-Go, The Roxy, House Of Blues, Key Club, The Viper Room and The Knitting Factory. The band has opened for Testament, Ankla, F-5 ( with Dave Ellefson of Megadeth), Dry Kill Logic, Overkill, Bleed The Sky, Satyricon, Six Feet Under, Hemlock, Prong and Dragonlord.

Contortion has played tours in Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Reno, Las Vegas,Phoenix and Lake Havasu, in addition to countless venues and bars in and around the southern part of California. The band has another tour currently in the works for the fall of 2007.

The goal of the band at this point is to be seen and heard by as many eyes and ears as possible across the globe. We are confident that we can meet the hopes and expectations of the world's heavy fans. And we are bound and determined to bring it to them.
