In autumn 2010, Before My Damnation was founded by Gustav Hallström (Guitar), Mattias Åsberg Gencturk (Guitar) and Benjamin Martinsson (Drums). Later, vocalist Johan Söderström and bass guitar player Lucas Magnusson was recruited. Song began to be written and soon Before My Damnation stood on the stage for the first time together in 3rd of December at Gamla Tingshuset.

In the beginning of 2011 they entered the music competition called Musik Direkt, where they won two prices in the province-finals: A gift certificate worth 3000 SEK (~330 Euros) at Musikanten and a gig at a festival in Sundsvall.

More songs were written and in June 2011 they began to record their self-released debut EP Drowning My Daughters in Empire Studios. In autumn 2011 Lucas Magnusson parted ways with the band and was replaced by Simon Jämtgård, a fine addition to the band. In late 2011 the EP finally came to be released. The band had planned a release gig for Drowning My Daughters along with another local band. The concert took place in 16th of December and was a great success.
