The best new comer band of 2005, Archeon, made it for tv metal charts with the hit single Prayer from their debut album End Of The Weakness (2005 Empire Records). They were claimed debut of the year 2005 in the major Polish metal magazine Mystic Art. Influenced by Jan Sebastian Bach as well as In Flames, Archeon, makes sounds, which, besides being heavy, are also very melodic, various and easy to listen. Music is played with great precision and technique and gains very positive feedback of the audiences from Europe and North America. Some concerts gather even 5000 fans! In January and February of 2006 the band took part at Winter Metal Fest 2006 and the greatest Polish metal festivals - Metalmania and Hunterfest. The biggest summer stages also didn't forget about Archeon. This time gigs were accompanied by another song which reached Top5 at radio music charts - Queen of the Night. Like many young bands, Archeon's road to the point they are now was tough. Formed by Michal Kostrzynski and Michal Tomaszewski around spring and summer of 2001 band was looking for a team to create a unique music which would mirror their fascination with classical melodies. They found on their way Janek Lesniak who was playing keyboards. Some time after they bumped into a very determined drummer, Tomasz Grochowski. Rhythm section was integrated with a bass player Andrzej Sadrakula. Only a vocalist was missing. After rehearsing with many young metalheads, Michal Kostrzynski decided to sing. Soon after Archeon was ready to warm up before first studio work by opening gigs of a local metal bands. A year after being formed, the group entered Hertz studio and with a help of famous producers, Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawscy, recorded first single Dead World. In January 2003 line up of Archeon changed; new rhythm guitarist has become Radek Polrolniczak, and a bassist Grzegorz Jezierski. Together with the rest of the band, the guys could witness first successful reviews of the single. Magazines such as Metal Hammer and Mystic Art took notice of Archeon. There was no way to hold on! Archeon played several concerts in supporting famous in Poland heavy metal band, Hunter. After successful tour the band went back to the studio to work on the material for the debut album End Of The Weakness. The recording session took place at Studio-X in Poland in January 2004. Few months after the recordings, Grzegorz Jezierski left Archeon. New bass player has become Jarek Kajszczak. In September 2004 Janek Lesniak took a decision about leaving the band and the world of metal music. He joined Polish army. As a quartet Archeon made a videoclip to the song Prayer which was becoming more and more popular and requested to be broadcasted in media. Success of the song came together with the album release what happened in July 2005. It took only a few months for Archeon to be noticed by metalheads from all over the world. With their support the guys prepared new songs for the next album. In January 2007 Archeon entered the Zed Studio in Olkusz, Poland where new tracks have been recorded... T.B.C.
