The band was formed on 14th February 1999 on the ruins of a doom/death metal group "Somnus". We started as a death metal band with name the of "Untamed", as a quintet (Shadock-guitars, Notim-guitars, Lord Abadoth- vocals, Cephas -drums, Diamond - bas). After a few months Abadoth left the band and Shadock took the function of the vocalist.The Band recorded four rehershal tapes (including live act) before -in 2000 and they decided to record the first official promo tape. In those days band was on edge of dying. We changed the name and the line-up.The first record -"Nothing Extreme" which was terribly released and has never seen the daylight.
At the beginning of 2001 Acrybia recorded their first official demo "Poetry of Gore" with brutal death/grind and lyrics inspired by the poetry of great writers of horror. This was also the first record with automatic drums.
Second demo "Aesthetic of Horror" was recorded a few months later, music was less brutal but more technical. Lyrics were also taken from poems of gore, like the previous CD.This was the last album with Notim, who left band just after the session record.
Demo "Necrology" was presented to the world in 2002. This was music continuity of other demos and lyrical continuation of gore poems. This is the first record in which you can sense some experimental influences, especially on the last song of the album - industrial "Spelling". After this album we had a contract in our pocket and a new guitarist - Sezmoth joined the band.
As a trio Acrybia recorded a debut album for Asmo.Deo Records - "Act of Desperation" in 2003. Music is still brutal and intensive, but full of experimental ways with the use of strange (for death metal) instruments like a sampler, the piano or keyboards. This was the last release with Diamond, who left the band during the session (few parts of bass were recorded by Shadock).
Second album - "Burnt-Out" (2004) brought totally different music made in the atmosphere of Ulver or Opeth, without electric guitars, full of sadness and acoustic sounds. On this album new members appeared : Vauec a.k.a Paweł (vocals) and Sorhen (keyboards). Sorhen left band just before the session for the third album - "Comeback to the Womb".
Third album was presented in 2005. It was a return to the death metal days of band. Seven aggressive songs full of old spirit of old school death metal were created.
The following year was full of problems for the band, after all, just before self-released E.P "Consistently Inconsistence - Deconstruction Experiment" (2006), Sezmoth left the band. This short release showed a more industrial face of our music - in one new song and three remixes from other albums.
Fourth album was recorded for Beast of Prey Records in 2007. "Death, Birth and Marriage" in the quest for industrial/drone world, where there is no god's existence. It is the darkest and the most difficult album.
In the meantime we recorded a soundtrack to a horror movie "Rigor Mortis" directed by Patryk Jurek. Due to that we could show you two videoclips - check it out on youtube. This soundtrack was shown to you in April 2008.
