Starting as a cadet corps marching band drummer, Mike`s passion for heavy metal music since a young age would ultimately draw him into the world of kit drumming and strings and vocals bands. He spent some time in a grunge band called Primordial soup during high school, where he started to play his first real shows in Toronto, Elmacombo being one example, after about under a year doing that and high school was coming to an end he jammed with various guitar players playing thrash metal, and eventually responded to a death metal guitar duo ad in a local area musicians newspaper called wanted dead or alive. They jammed together for over a year under the name twisted existence unable to find committed bass players or singers, then finally met Bart at the end of 2001 as a bass player and vocalist and Bart suggested naming the band Elevator22 after an Elevator at Mc Master University that went to the pathology dept. They released their first Demo called Hammertown heavy in 2002 then followed up with Manifest destiny EP in 2003. In 2008 they released a full length album called Vox Nihili, the band played their final show in summer of 2009 due to other members wanting to pursue other interests. Mike would take a break from playing with serious bands until the summer of 2013 when he joined Demonihil, they released a full length album that next summer, but due to personal differences the band disbanded in the fall of 2014. Mike played in no bands again until 2019 and he joined Mortal Annoyance in that year then the Deadly Romantics in 2020, but then covid happened and he decided to quit band life for good and rumor has it he became a gay male escort and started selling feet pics and vids (to each their own!)
