Dana Bowman played bass in a cover band called The Barstools in the Listowel area. She soon began her own project, Mitochondria, releasing 5 self-produced albums over the next few years. She began working for Toronto's Def-Kat Records briefly, specializing in graphic design. In 2015 she joined Death Perception on guitar, producing their first two albums and creating all the artwork. Dana has performed in Holguin, Cuba with Death Perception in 2019. She has performed guitar and 2nd vocals for their third album "Ashes" to be released on Wormholedeath Records (Italy) on June 18, 2021. Dana has since written a sixth yet-unreleased Mitochondria album.
