I've heard better bands from Puerto Rico.
This is the debut album from the Puerto Rican band
Alas Negras.
The album begins with an epic acoustic intro, but that's just the only thing that you can call epic on this album. The album's first song is Todos Tus Muertos, it's a classic heavy metal song with some galloping passages. I have to say first, the quality in this album is very poor, mixing, and mastering are a disaster. The songs are well played, its just a matter of bad production.
The second song Revolucion is in the same league as Todos Tus Muertos. Followed by
Hora de Lobos, most of the album is in Spanish. Except for The
Raven, which is a song about Edgar Allen Poe's "The
Raven". The song Carta is a power ballad, think of it as a very heavy power ballad, musically this is one of the best songs on the album.
The best songs in the album, I had to say are;
Alas Negras (an almost speed metal song),
Hora de Lobos, and Paraiso perdido.
That one starts with a very Iron Maiden riff. Over all I can't recommend this album because of its production, the music is well played, but singer Giancarlos Martinez sings off key most of the times. Which hurts badly the album.
