Maybe the one or other listener knows following situation: you have seen a band a few times live on stage without taking much notice.
That’s exactly the way it happened last year concerning the young Styrian group PERISHING MANKIND. Up to now the lady and the guys developed amazingly and one great composition follows another on
Fall of Men. At first the opener
Nox is a felicitous beginning with skilful vocals and delicious impulsive rhythms. The groovy parts let arise sort of live atmosphere and I see myself amongst a sweating horde of head-bangers.
All songs are designated with edged guitar chords and the drums force perfect pressure one can hardly withdraw. Every now and then a clear voice comes into operation similar to
Soilwork and contributes additional esprit to the compositions. PERISHING MANKIND place emphasis on a mixture of heaviness combined with melody and win all out. Each track turns out to be a hit after a while and I hardly can curb my allure.
Even with the semi-acoustic intro of
No One, displaced by sweeping power, the talented musicians act in intoxicating manner. Surprisingly the CD augments in quality during its further course, the ear candies
Rage (everyone who does not bang is deaf or dead!), the bands hymn
Perishing Mankind and in the first instance System
Mutilation - what an egregious feast for the ears with brilliant chorus winding up un the auditory canals inevitably.
These successful songs blow away all skepticism - this release is far above average! Just one more piece of advice: all controls to the maximum! This group presents itself as hot potato in Austrian underground scene – awesome!
