Wormfood was founded in January 2001 in Rouen by Emmanuel (vocals, guitars) and Romain (bass), from the asses of Black Metal bands Outward Ceremony et Alien Christ. Initially influenced by Type O Negative, Carnivore, Motörhead, Samael and Laibach, Wormfood recorded the first 5-track demo in May 2001, helped out by Guillaume Pille (ex-Livevil) and Youri Gralak.

The band was finalised with the addition of drummer Alexis Damien (One, Badjada, Dune, Folschweiler Trio), who replced the machine that was used prior to gis arrival. 10 new songs were recorded in July 2002 under professional conditions and directed by G. Pille. AFter mixing and such. the album was finally completed in February 2003.

In the mean time, the trio has changed to a quartet with the arrival of keyboard player Timmy. Along with Luen-Ta the band played many shows. For 2004, the band has planned the recording of their debut album.
