Biografia : Torture Of Hypocrisy

Torture of Hypocrisy was founded in the Mazurian town of Mikołajki, Poland, in 2007. The initial lineup consisted of Jacek Kasiński (drums), Piotr Michaluk (guitars) and Tomasz Krysiak (guitars). After a few months, bassist Robert Mielnicki, former member of the black metal band Kruk, joined the band. From very early on, the focus of Torture of Hypocrisy was directed at playing technical music; a blend of intense thrash metal and unusual drum parts. In 2008, the paths of the band members split up and Tomasz Krysiak decided to continue the project on his own while moving to the neighboring city of Olsztyn (Poland). Throughout the following year, Tomasz wrote the songs for Torture of Hypocrisy’s debut album, “Random Perspectives of Reality”. Torture of Hypocrisy’s music is written on 7 and 6-string guitars. The following year would further demonstrate the difficulty of finding suitable musicians for the project. In May 2009, Torture of Hypocrisy published a four track pre-production demo. Several musicians apply for the project, among them bassist Viktor from Germany. The demanding nature of Torture of Hypocrisy’s music leads most of the volunteers to resign; only Viktor demonstrates full professionalism, thus becoming a member of Torture of Hypocrisy. The next year is committed to solid musical work, with Tomasz and Viktor recording their tracks for the full length album.

Project’s music is inspirated by such subjects as corruption, moral degeneration, human’s hypocrisy and pathologies, addictions, religious fanaticism and many others. Every track is based on exact concept. The debut, instrumental album, “Random Perspectives of Reality,” mastered by ZOWA Studios in Wrocław, is realized entirely from own budget. It was released in Fall 2010, available in both CD and digital formats.

In 2010-2012 Krysiak was a member of Olsztyn’s thrash metal band “Headshot”. In early 2011, Adam Ślipiko (singer of “Hiroshima” and “Headshot”) joined ToH with the intent to record vocals for the instrumental LP. As a result of the suspension of “Headshot” at the end of August 2012, drummer Rafał Sykuła joined ToH. Since September 2012, regular rehearsals started in three-piece line-up: Krysiak / Ślipiko / Sykuła. In the first half of 2013 for a short time Marcin Siedlecki - bassist of death metal band “Kohorta” of Dobre Miasto joined ToH. ToH at the time recorded the single “Mass Murder Mechanism”. In July, the new bassist Dariusz Nawój from Mikołajki joined ToH.

In January 2014, ToH released album "Random Augmentation" which is the vocals re-edition of their debut album.
