Biografia : The Zen

The Zen rised after the dissolution of Assalt 43 (Hardcore/Punk/Metal), band which Josep Grau, Xavi Diví and Aleix Costa where in, during many years and afer several recordings those guys decided to create something different, more complex and heavier than it's prior project. After joining Nico Bassó as the bassist the new tunes came faster, so in 2011 Toni González entered as lead singer. During 2011 and unfortunately, our bandmate and friend Josep Grau left the band by personal and professional reasons after years playing together, so the young drummer Jordi Farré took his role in drums since then. Between June 2011 and January 2012 the band recorded it's first studio album ever, Somewhere on Earth, which was recorded and mixed by Aleix Archs and Jordi Mas at BLOQ Studios and mastered at ON AIR by Julian Silva. It's a conceptual album, about the passing of a human soul through death levels and dimensions before falling again on Earth after myriads of time and it's journey to the origin of cosmos.
