The word "Shab" ('shæb) means "The Night" in Farsi language. Hamid M.A. and Morteza B.Z. used this word as a sign for their some special thoughts. They established a black metal band named Shab in oct.2003. They are Iranians and they live in Iran. They introduced their first demo's style as "Sadden Melodic Black Metal" that named "Mourning In The Night" which has 22 duets that was set in mould of a demo album after members troubles for five years. Hamid and Morteza never taked a decision to creating duets in a band before oct.2003 and in that five years whenever the composing of a section be finished, they recorded that to add another reminiscence on their black walls. But after oct.2003 they re-recorded olden songs and registered Mourning In The Night album at the first of Shab's log in jan.2004. After somedays Shab's second album (last melodic black metal album) registered and named "Abyssic Imperial" and then Shab's music style changed from sadden melodic black metal to "Misanthropic Sadden True Black Metal" by a demo album named "Darkness". Finally Hamid "Avinar" M.A. and Morteza "Nightking" B.Z. are owners of their Iranian black metal one-man projects; Avinar and Nightgate.
