Biografia : Sabbat (JAP)

The Japanese death metal band Sabbat was originally formed in 1983 under the name Evil but the following year they changed their name into Sabbat. In 1987 they decided to quit playing live and played their farewell gig in Nagoya on September 13th. On May 2nd, 1989, they did however return to the stage with a one-time-only line-up consisting of Gezol (bass), Barraveat (guitars), Possessed Hammer (vocals) and Zorugelion (drums). In 1993 the leading Japanese metal magazine F.E.T.U. published a special Sabbat issued with 33 of the 36 pages of F.E.T.U. #13 dedicated to the band. On June 6th, 1994, they played a 10th anniversary gig in Nagoya where the two old members Samm and Ozny joined in on stage. The band is almost legendary in the Asian underground metal scene and has released a lot of albums throughout their long career. Not to be mistaken for the British thrash metal band with the same name.
